s2

Engineered for industry, with the environment in mind

70% less CO₂ emissions, patented technology and a 5-year warranty – GALVAR® is the sustainable engineering standard.
s3

C4 resistance and zero compromise

GALVAR® combines a patented weld-free design with top-level corrosion protection – a new level of safety for outdoor cabinets.

GALVAR® – modern
 weld-free enclosures

GALVAR® is Radiolex’s patented technology that completely changes the approach to designing and manufacturing industrial enclosures. Instead of traditional welding, we use bonding and riveting, which keeps the protective zinc coating intact. This results in exceptional corrosion resistance and a significantly longer service life of the enclosures, even in the most demanding conditions.

Why GALVAR®?

Traditional welded enclosures have been the standard for years in the energy, telecom and automation sectors. However, they have a weak point – welding damages the protective coating, which leads to corrosion in critical areas. In GALVAR®, this issue has been eliminated. As a result, our enclosures are tighter, more durable and better prepared for rain, dust, humidity and harsh industrial environments.

They are also an ideal alternative to expensive aluminium and stainless steel cabinets. GALVAR® enclosures offer comparable durability and corrosion resistance at a significantly lower cost.

Applications

GALVAR® enclosures are the right choice wherever tightness and resistance to harsh weather conditions are essential:
f1
Telecommunications and road infrastructure
f5
Wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations
f2
Energy and industrial automation
f4
Areas with increased humidity
f5
Installations requiring high corrosion resistance

Types of GALVAR® enclosures

In many installations, the greatest threat is not moisture or dust itself, but rapid temperature changes. They can cause water vapour to condense inside the enclosure and consequently damage the equipment. This is why GALVAR® enclosures can be fitted with a thermal insulation layer that:

  • stabilises the temperature inside the cabinet,
  • minimises the risk of moisture condensation,
  • protects electronics from overheating or freezing,
  • extends the service life of the equipment inside.

This solution is particularly important for sites exposed to intense sunlight, severe frost or highly changeable weather conditions (for example installations by roads, in ports or in industrial areas).

Advantages of GALVAR®

compared to competitors

1

No welding – full protection of the zinc coating and long-term durability

2

Higher tightness – IP55/IP66 and IK10 mechanical resistance

3

Resistance to extreme conditions from frost to high temperatures

4

Thermal insulation – protection against condensation and stable internal temperature

5

Custom configuration – non-standard dimensions, any RAL colour, additional options (cut-outs, extended temperature range)

6

Cost-effective alternative to aluminium and stainless steel – comparable durability at a much lower price

7

Assured quality – 5-year warranty as standard, and up to 10 years for selected series

8

Thermal insulation – protection against condensation and stable internal temperature

Welding

Before making a weld in an enclosure made of galvanised sheet metal, the zinc coating must be removed at the weld locations. This means that the areas around the weld are left without a protective layer and become exposed to corrosion.

Bonding

Thanks to GALVAR technology, it is possible to join steel without removing the protective coating, which preserves maximum corrosion protection. An additional advantage of bonding is the ability to join different grades of steel together.

GALVAR®

the future of industrial enclosures

If you are looking for enclosures that will withstand years of use without problems with tightness or corrosion, choose GALVAR® from Radiolex. This technology gives you an edge over the competition, is a real alternative to expensive aluminium and stainless steel cabinets, and provides protection for up to 10 years.

FAQ

Most frequently asked questions about GALVAR® technology from Radiolex

GALVAR® is a patented sheet metal joining method that uses bonding and riveting instead of welding. This keeps the protective zinc layer intact and increases the corrosion resistance of the entire structure.

Welding damages the protective zinc coating – bonding and riveting do not. As a result you get better tightness, higher durability and a lower risk of corrosion.

The enclosures perform excellently in harsh environments with moisture, dust and contaminants. They are used in power distribution, industrial automation, telecommunications, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, road infrastructure and ports.

There are two main ranges:

  • SZK‑A (compact) – floor-standing or wall-mounted, IP66, C4 corrosion class, operating temperature –40…+80 °C, options for thermal insulation and custom dimensions

  • SZK‑B (large) – IP55 as standard (optionally IP66), C4 class, temperature range –40…+80 °C (extendable to –50…+120 °C), options for thermal insulation, RAL colours and custom dimensions

Yes. The enclosures can be ordered in any dimensions and any RAL colour. Additional options include thermal insulation, extra cut-outs and an extended operating temperature range.

  • SZK‑A – IP66 (full protection against dust and powerful water jets)

  • SZK‑B – IP55 as standard, with IP66 available on request

  • Impact resistance – IK10

Yes. Bonded joints are tight, and the technology enables fast assembly and easier access to the interior, which also simplifies maintenance.

Yes – a standard 5-year warranty on GALVAR® enclosures, with an option to extend it up to 10 years!

Yes – the technology makes it possible to join different materials, which provides greater design flexibility.

Yes – for compact enclosures, robust corrosion‑resistant locks are used, suitable even for marine environments. There are also plinths, reinforced concrete foundations, beams and mounting brackets, as well as ventilation, heating and air‑conditioning systems for cabinets.
